About PHERMC
Private Health Establishments Registration & Monitoring Committee (PHERMC)
PHERMC was established pursuant to Section 13 Cap 100 Laws of Northern Nigeria, Section 1(1) (b) of the Federal Capital Territory (Applicable Laws) Decree no. 12 of 1984. The act came into effect on January 1st 1989.
The mandate of PHERMC is to register and regulate private health establishments in the FCT in compliance with the Act establishing it, through the under-listed activities:
- Preliminary inspection visits
- Pre-registration visits
- Pre-Full Registration Inspection visits
- Routine Inspection visits
- Follow-up inspection visits
- Intensive inspection of registered facilities
- Emergency inspection visits following distress call
