Registration Process for New Private Health Facility in FCT
Looking to Register a
New Private Health Establishment in FCT?

REGISTRATION
This refers to the mandatory process by which a prospective private healthcare facility applies to Health Services and Environment Secretariat (HSES) to be issued a certificate by PHERMC that will enable it operate legally in the Federal Capital Territory.
LICENSING
This is the process whereby a registered private health facility is issued an annual renewal license by PHERMC to continue operations in the FCT after paying the stipulated annual renewal fee and submitting required information about the facility and health professionals.
REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION

Certificate of Incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) as a limited liability company -Ltd (The registered name with CAC should reflect the type of facility).

The company should have at least three (3) Directors with CAC one of which should be a health professional relevant to the type of facility.

A written application on the company letter headed paper (with the names of the directors and their nationality at the footnote) expressing interest in registering a health facility in FCT.

A functional email address for the facility

Three (3) years Tax Clearance Certificate (immediate past, where applicable)

Floor plan of the facility showing the different service areas.

Relevant documents of health professionals are as follows: -Degree Certificate from a tertiary institution or Diploma from a Higher Institution

Certificate of registration with the respective professional regulatory body

Current Practicing License.

Any other relevant additional qualification(s) where applicable.
